Time: 24 minutes duration
Learning Outcomes: introduce the role and relevance of heritage digitization in risk management, prevention, and simulation

This training introduces the strategic role of digital technologies in the conservation and risk management of cultural heritage, with a particular focus on their application in scenarios of vulnerability and emergency. Federica Maietti (INCEPTION) presents an overview of how digitisation supports both the documentation and protection of heritage assets, helping to assess risks, simulate damage scenarios, and plan appropriate interventions. The session draws from key European guidelines and best practices to illustrate current approaches and evolving needs in this field, supported by concrete examples across different contexts and scales. It concludes with a brief introduction to how the ARTEMIS project will contribute to this domain, through pilot cases and digital tools for monitoring, management and simulation of heritage at risk.

EP.1 | From Vision to Action
