We are thrilled to announce that the ARTEMIS Cloud infrastructure is here.
Thanks to the teamwork at CNR INO, the ARTEMIS cloud hardware is installed on the brand new machines which have been especially bought for this purpose. These will provide the systems for the Cloud which include security and monitoring services (i.e. administration) as well as those services being developed by the project.
The next steps are to set up the data infrastructure so that distributed datasets can be used along with ARTEMIS’s own datasets. This involves defining the metadata schema and vocabularies to be used for describing the datasets and the process of uploading the information to the Cloud. This will also involve quite a lot of testing to ensure that the information is accurate and that the complete ingestion process works smoothly.
On the services side, the environment will be set up for the cloud management services. This work also involves defining and providing the policy, best practices and guides to design, deploy and make available digital twin services.

The ARTEMIS cloud infrastructure should be ready for use by mid-2026.
